Endlich kommt die langersehnte neue CD der legendären Band auf den Markt, mit der sich der Act mit dem neuen Sänger Jörg-Tim Wilhelm zurückmeldet. Frontmann Jörg-Tim Wilhelm, genannt „Tim“, ist studierter Sänger und Schauspieler, arbeitete aber auch als Moderator unzähliger Events und zahlreicher TV-Sendungen von ARD, SuperRTL, Kabel1 und Premiere. Er bringt viel frischen Wind in die Band, was die Konzert-Erfahrungen der ersten gemeinsamen Zeit mit der Münchener Freiheit eindrucksvoll untermauern. „Es macht immer noch sehr viel Spaß, und wir sind alle zu jung, um nicht mehr unterwegs zu sein!“ – so das deutliche Statement von Gitarrist Aron Strobel, womit er die Haltung der Band auf den Punkt bringt. Folglich präsentiert die ,neue‘ Münchener Freiheit voller Tatendrang, typischem Chor-Gesang und ausgefeilten Arrangements, aber überraschend modern ihr erstes gemeinsames Studio-Album „Mehr“ : zwölf brandneue Titel und zehn Neuaufnahmen der erfolgreichsten Klassiker.

Nummer-Eins – mit etwas Glück ist die 10. nun angerichtet…Eingespielt und vorproduziert wurde schon während des gesamten vergangenen Jahres – zu großen Teilen im Tonstudio von Michael Kunzi.Am 27.09.2013 hatte das Warten endlich ein Ende: Denn da wurde die erste Single veröffentlicht, „Meergefühl“, ein Song, der bereits beim ersten Hören nicht mehr aus dem Kopf geht. „Meergefühl“ knüpft somit einerseits nahtlos an die eingängigen Melodien, die die Band bekannt und groß gemacht haben, an – und erfreut andererseits mit modernen frischen Popelementen der Gegenwart und bildet die Brücke zur Zukunft der Münchener Freiheit. Nicht nur die treue Fangemeinde der ,Freiheit‘, sondern sicherlich auch sehr viele Menschen, die die Band bisher vielleicht nur noch von Erzählungen kannten, werden sich einig sein und damit die eindeutige Tendenz der laufenden Tournee bestätigen.
